Mike Howley

Managing Partner

Experience 

Mike is the Founder and Managing Partner of Bratenahl Capital Partners. Prior to Bratenahl, Mike worked in the private equity and investment banking industries for several years. Previously, he was a transactor at The Riverside Company, a private equity firm in Cleveland and New York City, with approximately $8 billion of assets under management. 

Before his employment at The Riverside Company, Mike worked in the Leveraged Finance investment banking group at Credit Suisse in New York City and began his career in Finance at National City Bank (now PNC), in the Capital Markets and Equity Sponsor areas. 

Mike serves on the LPAC of multiple Bratenahl fund investments and has held board positions on numerous Bratenahl co-investments. In addition, he is a board member of The Howley Foundation and Saint Martin de Porres High School, and a Trustee of Gilmour Academy. 

Education 

Mike is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. 

Personal 

Outside of work, Mike enjoys time with his wife and four kids, traveling and playing golf.
